El Corazón, the tangosalon in the heart of Leiden

Our salons are held every fourth Sunday of the month, from 14:00 till 18:00 hrs. In summer (may, june, july, august) the time is: 16.00-20.00. The venue is Grand Café De Burcht: an historical establishment in the heart of Leiden (Burgsteeg 14, 2312 JS Leiden). The Grand Café is located at the foot of the green hill where the real castle stands.

Your entrance tickets includes a drink. The ground floor of Grand Café De Burcht features the spacious Garden Hall; the large café room is on the second floor. Directly outside, there are terraces where you can relax and enjoy your drink.

We play predominantly traditional tango music. Tango from the Época de Oro, with some trips to the preceding and following periods. We follow the system of tandas (ttvttm) and cortinas. Dj’s: Aad de Danser and guest DJ's.

Quite often we have live music or a performance. Or, before the start of salon, tango workshops or lectures.
